Per the U.S. Gov't. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention
1. Immunizations for the Katrina Hurricane Relief.
ALL people going MUST have the Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoid
and it must be within the last 10 years. Bring records of that shot.

2. The Hepatitis "B" vaccine series is ONLY for medical people that
maybe dealing with body fluids....which will not be any of us.

3. Hepatitis "A" vaccine has been highly recommended by the
Infectious Disease Nurse here at the hospital....it is for protection
   against infected water and sewage.
The problem with the Hepatitis "A" vaccine is that it will take 1-2 weeks after administration to have full immunity. And it also requires a booster in 6 months.

Tetanus/Diphtheria shots may be free to all workers going to
Katrina area thru local agency. We are still awaiting that info.
